We believe access to quality academic support should never depend on a family's income. Bright Path Academy exists to close that gap.
Private tutoring can cost $80–$150 per hour. For millions of families, that's simply not an option. Meanwhile, students with resources pull further ahead — widening an already unfair gap.
Bright Path Academy was founded by a group of high school and college students who believed they could change that. By connecting motivated tutors with students who need support — completely free — we level the playing field one session at a time.
And because we don't charge students, the generous donations we receive go directly to feeding and housing families in our local community through our partner charities.
To provide every student — regardless of background or income — with free, high-quality academic tutoring delivered by passionate volunteer educators.
A world where academic achievement is limited only by a student's effort — not their zip code or family income.
Free means free. No hidden fees, no premium tiers, no income verification. Every student deserves the same access.
We're not a business. We're neighbors helping neighbors. Every decision puts students and the community ahead of everything else.
All tutors go through an application and vetting process. Sessions are online and logged to keep everyone safe and accountable.
We track outcomes. Students report scores, tutors log hours, and we publish our results so donors and the community can see the difference.
Many of our tutors were once students who struggled. Now they give back — and encourage others to do the same.
We serve students of all grades, backgrounds, and learning levels. No applications, no waitlists — just open slots and open doors.
Bright Path Academy started with a simple act: a high school junior helping a struggling classmate prep for the SAT. That student's score jumped 140 points. Word spread. More students came. More friends wanted to help.
We realized this could be bigger. We built a shared calendar so tutors could post their availability and students could book sessions online. Within three months, we had 20 tutors and 80 students.
We also wanted the generosity of our tutors to ripple outward. So we set up a donation system where supporters can give to BakeItForward, HomeFront NJ, or the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen — organizations feeding and housing families right in our community. Education and community support, hand in hand.
All volunteers. All passionate about education and community.

Whether you're a student seeking help, a tutor wanting to give back, or a donor supporting our mission — there's a place for you at Bright Path Academy.
